“Note: Increased interior temperature possible in case of high outside temperatures” I wish I was joking.

Just covering their assess, probably.
“Look, we told you when you bought it without A/C that it wasn’t going to blow cold air! Now quit trying to sue us.”

Probably the same reason we have to have labels that tell us that hot coffee is hot.

I would figure that was a common sense thing, but people will surprise you and shred what little faith in humanity you had left.

In a country like the United States where everyone seems lawsuit happy, you have to cover your ass every way you can.

That is true. But it's a common sense issue and I'm just dissapointed that it is nessecary to have to say that without ac your car will get hot to avoid a lawsuit.

Might not even be a common sense issue, but anyone looking to make money fast. “Hey, you didn’t warn me about X, how was I supposed to know? I was misled and not informed!”

Honestly. That's a stupid way to make money. Air conditioning has been around long enough for people to know what it is

Not saying specifically for A/C, but in general.

I don’t see why people would get it without A/C unless it’s a pure track car. It doesn’t weigh THAT much and creates a negligible amount of parasitic loss when it isn’t on.

Because racecar?

Also, after LMP1 went to closed cockpit only, they required cars to have A/C installed. So there is no “Because racecar” excuse possible, since the ACO has the air conditioning rule for closed cockpit cars.

~50lbs isn’t nothing.

Yeah I’m with you, if it doesn’t have A/C no thank you

Eh I had a porsche boxster without AC (because I was too cheap to fix it) for 3 texas summers, its not that bad. If you get stuck in stop and go traffic it can suck, but for the most part put the windows/sunroof open and keep moving. (My e30 is about to be back on the road just in time for texas summers. no ac either...)

You go from 2955lbs to 2905 pounds. That really isn’t that much. If the car weighed 2000lbs, the difference might be a little more pronounced.

If youre not going to use it why have it? it’s not a DD. I haven’t done a long track day with a GT3, but you likely won’t be dying of heatstroke driving one. Sure, you’ll probably be mildly uncomfortable, but you bought a GT3, that’s the result of a track oriented car.
as far as endurance cars having a/c, you wont be making 4-6 hour stints in this. at amateur track days the driver shouldn’t be pushing themselves to the limits of exhaustion like endurance racers have to.

Ok but what happens if it’s cold outside? Does it get cold on the inside as well? This needs to be clarified with Porsche engineers.

Bingo. I know people who go to the bathroom before autocross runs, for Pete’s sake. Every little bit...
